There is a rational principle/universal pattern/structure/order to the cosmos identified as the Logos of Heraclitus and the Stoics, Anaxagoras's Nous, Plato's Forms, Plotinus's One, and Laozi's Tao (道) amongst other sources. Christianity's unique claim is that this Logos is not an abstract principle, but that in the Incarnation, "the Logos was made flesh and dwelt among us" (John 1) in the historical person of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. All humans are called to live in accordance with the Logos (in Christ), lest they sin (commit self-destructive behavior not in accordance with the Logos). Paul speaks of the law written in the hearts of all men in Romans 2, while St. Justin Martyr describes humanity's partial participation in it through logos spermatikos, or the "seeds of the Logos".
Each age is characterized by its reigning philosophies. The spirit of this age consists of: nihilism, relativism, postmodernism, and perrenialism.
Scientific data, historic/current events, and all observational data are viewed in paradigmatic lenses. [Kuhn, Feyerabend]
We are not in a "post-history" world.
The narrative of a linear "human progress" presupposes a standard of values by which progress can be judged. Progress in one dimension could concievably be in parallel with regression in other dimensions.
There are no "neutral" worldviews in the negative sense. A lack of belief in one worldview is a positive belief in another, or an incoherent worldview.
The future of AI is model collapse, the decline of informational quality on the internet, erosion of digital privacy, and further growth of hyperreality. [Baudrillard]
The form of media a person interacts with to obtain information shapes the way they perceive the information, and the world. [McLuhan]
Humans are constituted in such a manner that understanding abstract concepts are best done through first-hand sensory experience or memorable, visualizable stories in the form of parables, heuristics, analogies, aphorisms, examples as opposed to reading or being read a list of statements and “facts”.
Musical preference has an outsized effect in shaping internal monologue and outlook on the world.
The only real forms of money are gold, Bitcoin, and Monero.
